Fun, Amazing, Etc.

This is the official blog of indie author / adventure writer Andy R. Bunch, author of the fantasy book, "Suffering Rancor." As always, I'll post funny or amazing things I find in my travels or from poking around online. This is a great place to kick back and relax a bit. You may note that I’m not too clean or too dirty. For more information on my book, go to http://andyrbunch.weebly.com/. Here are links to first two books http://goo.gl/iHP1i and http://goo.gl/kK13W

Novel Outline Boot Camp Canceled

I've been so busy lately that I haven't really been able to get the word out about this event. I've also reached that point of hectic tale chasing that takes the fun out of life and I refuse to live there. So again and again this weekend I searched for some way to increase capacity at least temporarily, and when I found too little, I had to look for things to slash.

Given that I'm already behind on advertising this event, and I don't have the extra time to make up ground on that this needs to be one of the places I cut back. This also gives me an opportunity to join my friends at a Boot Camp NW event that weekend. If you are new to this blog you probably haven't read about BCNW and the good stuff they do. This should be a fantastic event. I've been to a retreat before on these books and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going to miss the chance to get my feet wet teaching the outline class. The curriculum is done, so this class will happen in some format eventually. Thanks for your understanding. Also, if you were planning to attend the Oct 11 and 12 Novel Outlining class and didn't get a chance, please contact me anyway. We can arrange something one on one or in a small group.

The Journey of Masculinity

A Bootcamp Northwest Advanced Camp at a Very Special Price
(Only Two Weeks Left!)

How does a man become a man--and know that he is one?

For centuries, boys and men followed a process of masculine initiation, a journey God put in the heart of every boy.  But we lost that, about the same time we lost a father-centered view of the world, and lost so many of our own fathers.  Most men, and most boys growing up these days, have no man to guide them in their journey to become a man.

But there is hope. And the offer is rich beyond your deepest desire.

Come and join the Bootcamp Northwest team as we dig deep into the stages of masculinity as described in the books Fathered by God and Way of Wild Heart by best-selling author John Eldredge.

The content is deep, powerful and inspirational and you won't want to miss it.

But there's something else that's special about this camp:

The Price.

Because of the generosity of our donors we're doing something with this camp we've always wanted to do...

Pay whatever you think it's worth.

No gimmicks, no arm twisting, you can even come to camp and decide after you've already been through it. It's an offer that started with our Father's generosity to us, and we want to share it with you. We don't want money to be a barrier to anybody but we do want to get as many men to experience this camp as possible. We can offer the first 100 seats at this rate.
(After that we'll see where we stand.)

October 11-13, 2013 at Washington Family Ranch in Antelope, OR.

If you're on this list it's most likely you've been to a Bootcamp or other event and you know just how powerful, how life-giving it can be for a man to hear the Father's voice especially in those wounded soft places in our hearts. We're praying to fill the seats here but we need your help. We really hope you can help spread the word about this event, and this special price, in several ways.
  1. Share the details with your circle of friends. We get a lot of eyeballs on Facebook so if you find us at facebook.com/BootcampNW you can get a head start with those likes and shares.
  2. Print, mail or email or send this postcard (for good ol' fashioned snail mail),this slide (great for church big-screen rotations), or this drop card (great to drop a few in the men's room counter). Think about the men around you who would get rocked by an event like this. Better yet, share it with the folks who can spread the word even farther like your pastor or men's ministry leader.
  3. Share this email with friends, family, and coworkers. You never know who might sit right next to you that really, really needs a word from Heaven.
  4. And come yourself! Like the oxygen masks on an airplane, you can't give away something you don't have to share. Come join us, and the 100 other men we're hoping see here, and dig deep into the heart of God and the blessing of being His son.
We're pumped about this camp and the preparation has been profound. We can't wait to see what God does this time.

Quick Important Re-post

After decades of not outlining I caved in and developed an outlining system that I has shortened and strengthened my drafting process. I'm going to share it at an outlining boot camp this Oct. 11 & 12. Details in the poster below.

Sorry to hit this a bunch of times, but today is the end of the early-bird special $20 instead of $10.

Wow! Anyone else super busy?

I know I haven't updated you guys in a while now. I've even got bits and chunks of things prepped to go, but it sure seems like I go from one thing to the next without a break. I joked to a friend the other day, that I was going to have to start scheduling my B.M.s or I'd never get one in.

It must stop and it will, but updating this blog right now, while near the start, is not the first thing I must do. I'm sitting here on the hottest day we've had in a long time in the only coffee shop with broken AC and thinking that I've become distracted with business again. So today you get a article from a ministry close to my heart that I think we all need to view or read. I'll post again soon.

God bless,
