Here's a quick bonus post for today. I wish I had time to go into greater detail, but I'll try to come back to this post and make it more robust.

Bottom line on blog tours...
They are time consuming.
Results vary but they tend to be cheap or free and do give you some bump to sales and/or reviews
Many authors have abandoned them because they don't enjoy them (which is legitimate IMHO)
